Antonino Condorelli was born in Catanzaro, a Southern Italian city on the Ionian Sea, in 1973. After attending the Natural Science University in Messina, in 1996, Antonino starts working as photojournalist with local newspapers, and after attending a photography school in Milan, he started his freelance career. He began a collaboration with Associated Press, covering immigrants arrivals from Albania and the Middle East on the Italian coasts. In 2005, he started contributing to Reuters, covering sports, news, political and social events. From 2009 to 2011, Antonino works as an editor and photojournalist at OTNPhotos, an Italian press photo agency.
In 2016, Antonino won “Der Blauer Löwe” with his photo series from the project “Here We Are”.
Antonino focuses his work on human rights and contemporary social issues prevalently from Africa and the Middle East but not limited to it. His pictures have been published in major international magazines such as Newsweek, Die Zeit, L’Espresso, The Herald Tribune, Le Monde Ado, Suddeutsche Zeitung Familie, among others. He is currently working on long terms projects about immigrant women, homeless in the city of Hamburg, at the same time he continues to work with magazines.
Since he lives in Germany Antonino exhibited 5 exhibitions around the Hamburg and Lower Saxony, and several local papers reported about his work and projects.

Antonino is passionate in photography, writing, visual arts, sports and he is very interested in philosophy which he studies at the University of Turin.
